Hi Glitter! I need new jeans.
I'm an awkward size, though: "regular" lines don't usually go up to my size, but "plus" lines either start one size too big for me or are heinously unflattering. I've worn Levi's for years but had such a frustrating experience with them at the store recently that I'm ready to try something else. Help! Where do I look? _________________ And it was messy, but we were drunk. Story of my life, I guess? --oohlala |

I'm right there with you. I pretty exclusively buy my jeans at Old Navy. They have lots of sizes, lots of styles, they aren't expensive to begin with and always go onsale, and I can get Via Preference points for them (not useful for you I know, but maybe airmiles or the like?). I'm always wearing through my jeans, whether they are expensive or cheap, so I'd rather spend less on jeans and more on other items I won't wear out so quickly.
I used to wear Gap jeans (yes, sister company to Old Navy), but my body type has changed and I haven't had as good luck finding a flattering fit lately.
What kind of jeans do you like to wear? What kind of fit, leg opening, colour, etc? Levi's are pretty classic, right? Maybe with some details others will have more specific suggestions. _________________ i live at the foot of a mountain: some of my adventures |

Yeah, I have a pair of Gap jeans that I like (1969 skinnies, black) but they stretch out quite a lot. Ditto to my Old Navy "Diva" bootcuts--they look great right out of the dryer but that lasts about fifteen minutes before they stretch out weirdly. Argh.
I'm probably size 16 for most designers, and curvy. I like lower rise (mid and high rise make me look pregnant), and I'm happy to look at bootcut, straight or skinny. Dark washes only, for sure. I often have trouble with finding inseams long enough--33 is ideal, but 34 is better than 32. What do you think, Glitter? _________________ And it was messy, but we were drunk. Oh! Oh! Ladies! Lookie what I've found: https://www.my-pzijeans.com/aboutus.asp
Now THAT is encouraging. I'll be going shopping when I get back to the States... _________________ And it was messy, but we were drunk. Story of my life, I guess? --oohlala |

Thanks for the link! I was going to suggest checking out the curvy line of jeans at Levi's, but you wanted to try something different. I have a pair of the "Bold Curve" jeans, which fit nicely but have ridiculously shallow pockets that I haven't gotten around to fixing yet, even though I almost lost my wallet because it fell out of a front pocket when I was sitting down. _________________ "I hate that they're giving tea a bad name. I'm a size 18 hourglass.
I like jeans from Torrid, especially Source of Wisdom (flare and skinny).
I just got a pair of Diva skinny jeans from Old Navy. I like them. I've had jeans from there before and I have never ever liked them and always gave them to my sister. They are actually tight in the legs whilst fitting at the waist. _________________ project 365
