I live in a bubble of bobby pins. I have them everywhere, leave them everywhere. Like, I would never get away with murder, because all the bobby pins at the crime scene would give me away.
I do not have healthy shiny slick hair. I've got bleached out, back combed cotton candy that I usually wear up in a bouffanty french twist. So yeah, bobby pins.
On seriously dirty hair days I rock a mega double sock bun thing. I like colorful scarves and head bands when I set my hair in pin curls- instantly makes it look like a cute updo as opposed to a sad divorced lady going out in her curlers.
And work those pony tail bands to your advantage my shiny straight haired friends! Instead of making a pony, sort of weave your hair through the band into a bun. Then you get waves, not bands. _________________ You may have to sacrifice a bit of modesty in the name of badassery! -Knittykat

Dear pinkie,
I think I need you to come visit and teach me how to do my hair. It seems like one of those things that a lady ought to have learnt how to do by the time she is nearly 37.
Yours,
IrmaVep
Also, I attempted pin-curls last Saturday. Using these pin-curl pins I found in a local antique store.
