i posted the original one in the wrong place so here it is in the right place. (sorry about that)

hello

but are there any good book you would recenmend for a young adult. i need some summer reads. i am a guy, that might help. i like crime books as well as action, and suspense. i am open for other types or genres. right now i will take any title so please throw some out. thanks and have a great day. also i don't need a reply any time soon so no one has to rush to reply i am sure your all busy so please take your time i can wait

and to answers workandplay's question which was What are some topics that you are interested in in general? Are you interested in nature, technology, music, ...? What are things you spend a lot of time thinking about? That would also help us to think of books that have themes that you might feel connected with or interested in.

i am really in to computers, fire fighting. but i really like mysteries and suspense books from the usa. or any similar anthnoy horowitiz. if you know who he his then i like his writing style its kind of hard for me to explain. sorry again for posting it in the wrong place at first.

Hi again!

If you are into computers, maybe you could try Ender's Game by Orson Scott card. It's about a young boy who is recruited to become a super-specialized space fighter. It's about how Ender (and his schoolmates) train strategy through playing lots of computer games. Despite the SPACE WAR OOGA BOOGA theme, it's actually a very interesting novel that deals with themes like being away from home, friendship, and what it means (and takes!) to become the best at something. It was written in 1985, so you might get a kick out of the way computers of the future are described in the novel.

But as I said: lots of librarians and avid readers here! I'm sure someone can come up with even better recommendations.

Cory Doctorow has written some good YA books with a high-tech flavor.

i agree with WorkAndPlay - i love enders game so much!

i just finished listening to "the girl with the dragon tattoo," but it's definitely rated r for some Serious Topics. it's got a lot of sex and violence going on. but it's got a compelling suspense story too.

one of my all-time favorite young-adult books, which happens to be a mystery that i bet you'd love, is "the westing game" by ellen raskin. it won a newbery medal, which is also a good list to start with...

"Spiral-Bound: Top Secret Summer" is a great graphic novel, for a nice light summer read.

have fun! go to the library and ask the librarian, you'll make their day!

If you like Anthony Horowitz, you might want to try the James Patterson Maximum Ride series. Likewise, you might enjoy The Chronicles of Nick series, The Homelanders series and the Maze Runner series.

If you're even kinda into fantasy, check out Jim Butcher's The Dresden Files series. The main character, Harry Dresden, is a private investigator & a wizard. Plus, he's a total sarcastic bad-ass.
