My 16 y.o. cousin had been sick with what she thought was a cold but it kept getting worse. She ended up in the hospital and had to be put onto mechanical lungs, it was very hard for her to breathe and her lungs stopped functioning. The doctors induced a coma so they could find out what was going on and they found mold in her throat or lungs.

They are now trying to wean her off the ventilator, but she has been heavily drugged since Saturday.

I am very far from my family and this is very tough. Her parents are anxious and beating themselves up over it. I talked to my aunt and my mom today and this is most information I could get and understand. I know they are also trying to keep her blood pressure stabilized.

She's so young and she's always been such a good girl, it is difficult to understand how this could happen. Things were looking very bad earlier and things are looking up now, but my family could really use some glitter vibes...there is a long way to go to get her up and functioning on her own... please if you can spare some vibes, I and my family would greatly appreciate it.

My cousin is doing great now. They never figured out why she got so sick, but diagnosed her with asthma. She was out of school for awhile, but she's back in now and comes to our house after school everyday. She is starting to cough again which makes everyone nervous, but she's amazingly well compared to how bad it was in December.
