Glitters, I have lost one of my favorite earrings. I am particularly distraught because my late mother gave them to me.
I went so many places yesterday that I fear finding it will be a long shot.
I know a replacement will not be the same as the ones Mom gave me, but I still would love to get a replacement pair. Oh wise Glitters, can you let me know if you see these earrings for sale anywhere? They are silver and similar to threader earrings, but the ear wire is curved. The closest I can find is this, but it's not quite exactly right. I'm not sure, but I think Mom probably bought them via QVC circa 2005.
Thank you, my friends! |

Aw, that's so pretty! What a bummer. :( Vibes for it suddenly turning up. I know it's a long shot, but stranger things have happened... _________________ What can't that centaur woman do? |

If you think they were sold on QVC around that time, I'd do an ebay search. They probably sold a bunch of them and likely SOMEONE has them somewhere!
I'll help you search! _________________ "Fun is where you find it" - jackierocket |

Oooh, Ebay, that's a good idea. Thanks for helping me search, knittykat, and thanks for the vibes, cake!
I retraced my steps to the park, playground, and garden today, but I fear it would be impossible to find if it dropped in the grass at any of those places. I also went to the supermarket and farmer's market that day; I don't have a lot of hope of finding it there. I'm crossing my fingers that it turns up in my house one day.
I have a friend who makes jewelry; I'm going to see if she has any ideas re: recreating it. If any talented Glitters have suggestion on that front as well, I'm all ears.
Anniversary/holiday grief has been particularly tough this year. I'm sure it's partly because my dad has turned into a horrible unsupportive disrespectful jerk. Today is 6 years since Mom died; to lose my earring right now just triggered all kinds of sadness. I know it seems like a silly little thing, so I really do appreciate the help even if it's all for naught! |

I spent some time searching; I searched for the following keywords:
2005
2006
avon
hsn
home shopping
qvc
silver
sterling silver
curved threader
threader
chain
ball
and no dice :-(
I keep coming up with the same pair you did. If I come up with any other ideas I will try them as well.
I love a treasure hunt (and I love helping people too).
I'm sure somewhere there must be a record of some of the types of jewelry sold on QVC right? I found QVC and HSN forums as well; you might try posting your picture over there. _________________ "Fun is where you find it" - jackierocket |

I appreciate your thoughts, all!
I will look into the QVC forum thing. I know she didn't get them from HSN, but it's possible she just bought them at the mall or something. |
