i am eating one of the best omelets i've ever had while watching battlestar galactica, which i never thought i'd be into but ohh my god, it's so intense and insane and yes forever. and then before it was the episode of doctor who with sarah jane and k-9! hooray! it's been a rough morning, but it's definitely on the path to better times.

Found out that Elvis Costello (!!!) AND Eddie Izzard (!!!) will have shows at the university I work at this fall. Who was waiting at the campus box office window first thing this morning? THIS GAL.

i was in an art runt for a really long time. but over the past few weeks, i've been putting up some street art.
just a minute ago, i noticed a photo of one of my pieces on the front page of the website for a local paper. awesome!

thanks drain and cake! friday was a pretty exciting day and i love the hairpin so damn much. :)
today's good thing: it is GORGEOUS in pittsburgh today and i am going to take a nice long walk. maybe i'll take myself out to lunch too!

LittleC was picked up last night, he's spending the night with his best buddy's family at their house on the lake. He will stay there until the kids get tired of each other or until Tuesday, whichever comes first.
Grown-up weekend! Lots of one-on-one with hubby and a little time for myself for whatever I want to do (thrift store!). |

I now know how to fix a flat tire on my bike. Did it by myself. My dad offered to come over and fix it but I told him I just needed some cheering on through the phone.
Wohoo! I hate not know how to do stuff like this. Now, if I only could hang pictures straight. :)

I got a job! After an unexpected layoff and some time on unemployment ($147 a week... THAT sure paid the bills), I'll be starting a full-time gig in two weeks. Very relieved and excited.

Two of my work projects got VERY high praise today! It's super nerdy to be excited about having been told that you wrote one of the best explanations of how a historic irrigation system works, but I'm nerdy.
And, a place that I love, where I did some work years ago, John Coltrane's house in Philadelphia, got a grant! This has nothing to do with me, but it makes me really really happy.
