So Twist Collective's Fall 2011 issue is up - what do you think?
I love the Roseling striped cardigan by Anne Kuo Lukito, the Hawthorne Hat and Mitts by Susanna IC, and the Delius cabled vest by Bristol Ivy. _________________ ravelry: mkcarroll

WOW. Awesome issue. I don't think I've even gotten through the whole issue (there's just so much!), but lots of stuff that I would love to have in my wardrobe! I like...I think almost all? of the sweaters and cardigans? The Evendim sweater in particular, so pretty! There are some fairisle knee-high socks that I am also drooling over, although I probably should not queue those because I have such a terrible track record with socks...
One thing I also really love about Twist is that they typically have really great photography/styling. I'm always thinking "I want to be in that photo!" when I look through an issue. _________________ Studio Marlowe knitting patterns: 15% off with code "yellowboards" |

I haven't either - want to read the articles but instead of falling asleep at the keyboard last night I opted to look at the patterns on Ravelry so I could just see them all in a batch before having a nice relaxed read. _________________ ravelry: mkcarroll

Yeah, I think I'm going to have to wait for a weekend to really take it all in. Which is fine, because, as usual, I need a new project approximately as much as I need the proverbial new hole in the head... _________________ Studio Marlowe knitting patterns: 15% off with code "yellowboards" |

I'm also in love with Sportster:

I've loved motorcycle-style jackets my whole life but for some reason have never owned one. I think I'd love to knit this one in a slightly bulkier yarn than called for with smaller needles than called for, to make it really stiff and jacket-like. _________________ Washing one's hands of the conflict between the powerful and the powerless means to side with the powerful, not to be neutral. - Paulo Freire |
