I just joined the WW online program too. I'll be checking in here...I can really use the support.

I have been trying to lose since last August (I have approx. 25 lbs. to lose as my goal.) On my own I have only lost 5 lbs in about 6mo. I'm hoping the tracking and support of WW will help me stay motivated and hold myself a little more accountable.

Cheers!

Maybe we should call this thread or perhaps start a new one? WW support group?

Good luck and have fun! My WW story: It took me about 6 months on my own to lose 5lbs. Then I joined WW and have lost 28lbs (officially) and 33 all together. I still want to lose another 10lbs but I feel like my loss has stalled. I am also not sticking to the program as much as I have been in the past. Yesterday, I joined a gym, and it bored me to death. I hope it helps with my goals. I attend meetings. For some reason, weighing in and the meetings itself usually motivate me each week. (I also have a newish job that places challenges on my schedule/habits around food and working out.)

ETA: I am sure that I already shared this on Glitter. I wanted to update my info and I think we are/were in similar places concerning weight loss goals.

I joined WW a little over a month ago. I has lost some weight after pregnancy and maintained that loss but still had a lot more I wanted to lose and it just wasn't coming off. I have lost 10 lbs so far on WW. I have gone down a pants size and bra size. Woohoo!! I feel really good too. I have about 25 lbs more to lose. I do the online thing but I also go to meetings. I like being weighed in once a week. I helps to keep me on plan. Good luck!!

Great to see so many other WWers on here. I'd be up for a new thread too. I've spent some time lurking over on the WW message boards, but they'e different. I did find a group that I check in with daily, though, and I've found them to be pretty supportive (it's a daily thread on ending binge eating).

I'm always shocked at people who change sizes so quickly. I've lost like 10lbs and nothing fits differently. I feel like I've lost it all in my face and boobs :(

I wish I could lose it in my face:). It wasn't that quickly. It seems like I was close to changing sizes before weight watchers and the 10 lbs pushed me over. I did lose 30 lbs before weight watchers and only went down one size:-0.

i went way off plan over the holidays, with the attitude of "it's THANKSGIVING and CHRISTMAS! i'm going to eat what i want and get back on after new years!" well, i gained 5 lbs on that binge and ONLY JUST have been able to lose it.

it was great being able to eat what/when i wanted, but i'm not sure if the consequence of gaining and having work extra hard to lose it again was worth it.

last week i reached 10%. this week i hope to get to 25#. weigh in tonight!

That happened to me during our Christmas Vacation. Part of it was me wanting to eat a lot of cookies and part of it was staying with my partner's family. They thought I was silly for bringing veggies and my own foods. When it came to eating them, I felt silly adding them to their meals. It took forever to get back on track after this and lose what I gained. (Until I got the flu. Which sounds messed up.)

Good luck and congrats on your 10 %. That was a big deal for me.

I just requested this from the library. I saw it recommended some where else too so I'm going to give it a shot.

Because of this thread, I flipped through this book at Target and considered buying this book. It was on sale for around $10. I find the title and some of the chapter titles so off-putting. I couldn't buy it. (Religious-y).

Question. I am still following the old points program. I made a cupcakes by mixing 15 oz canned pumpkin with a chocolate cake mix. No water. This made 13 cupcakes. Are they 2 points each or 4? Maybe I am being lazy with the calculations, but I can't figure it out right now. I googled and found some unofficial recipes that add water. Some recipes make 12 cupcakes and others make 24. They all count the cupcakes as 2 points each whether or not they added water or if it is 12 or 24 servings. That is not right.

I usually add up all the information for what I'm making and divide by how many I actually end up with. Especially for things like cookies because I usually end up with a totally different serving than the recipe says.

I don't know what's been going on lately, but I like it! I feel like everything's been working for me and in the past 7 weeks I've only had one tiny gain. I feel SO much better about things than I did last time I posted here!

Reviving this thread to say I joined ww online tonight.

I gained 70lbs (!!!) when I was pregnant - lost about 15 of it right away, but have now gained it back plus 7lbs because of a prescription med I was on to boost milk supply. (yeah....how awesome is it for my self esteem that even my maternity clothes don't fit!!)

So I signed up for 3 months - hopefully I can make a nice dent in my gain in that time. Before getting pregnant I was doing WW & working out about 4-5 times a week & I lost 50lbs. I only got to taste that feeling of being fit & happy in my skin for a little while.

So.....I didn't know I was going to join WW tonight & I ate just normally &....yeah....NINETY THREE points later, I can kind of understand how/why I've gained so much. Now, half of that is an avocado...pretty bummed that a whole avocado is 42 points (!!!!!!!) I eat a *lot* of avocado.

Anyhow - how are you guys doing?

A whole avocado is 42 POINTS??? Holy shit.

I'm on this bandwagon too. I had a whole health scare and surgery last year, during which I lost some weight (cyst weight, panic weight). But the first few months of this year have been a kind of, "I think everything might be ok, wooooo" bonanza, and I'm at least ten pounds up from where I should be. I'm having to move my wee gut out of the way when I do twists in yoga, and that doesn't feel good.

I weigh in at the end of week two tomorrow. I cheated and peeked this morning, and I think I've made some progress in the last seven days. I signed up for the three-month thing too. Maybe, if I'm lucky, I won't have to go the whole time?

I work at home, so some of this is easy - I can stop midday to go braise some greens or something. But when I leave the house - as I had to do tonight, to go shopping and go to my illustration group - I can end up suddenly STARVING, since beforehand I'll have only eaten as much as I needed at that moment. I guess I need to start putting an apple in my coat pocket or something. I ended up at my art group (which is in a bar), hungry-headachey. I had to have grilled cheese and soup to make myself feel better. So: next time, fruit in pocket. Noted.

42 points, oh my god, oh my god...
