Random Mix CD Swap--Sending Home Nov 16th!

Okay, I'm going to go ahead and get this started!
Here's the details:

Make a super awesome mix CD that you want to share with others: can be old or new or old that's new to you music, or music you've re/discovered or rocked to this year, or be a themed mix or whatever you want! We're going random this time baby! :)

Include a track list (typed, handwritten, whatever) and a cover (if you want, totally optional!) and you can explain your choices if you want as well.

Make 5 copies of it (or however many people we have sign up; whichever is less), throw in $5 (a bit more if not in the US) for return shipping and send them to me!

Once I get all the CD's, I will sort them out and send each person back 5 new awesome mixes. =)


Now the dates and rules and such:

Sign-up by posting here and emailing me at "lymondrp at yahoo dot com" for my address and give me your G* name, real name and address. I'm pretty much leaving the sign-ups open until the send-out date.

Send-out by Nov 5th, Friday. That gives you nearly 3 full weeks to make your playlists. (if you don't feel this is enough time, please let me know!) Post in this thread when you send out. Once I get all the mixes, I will remail out within the week.

If I don't receive CD's from you, you won't be getting CD's back!! I don't like flakes and this is a super easy swap, so let's have fun!

I did round one of playlist making. Last night I threw a bunch of songs I liked into a playlist, and today on my way to work I listened to them to get ideas of how to order them all together to make them work.

Round 2 will be the actual ordering of songs.

Round 3 is case design!

Mix making is very serious to me :)

I'm so enjoying this! For awhile I made a mix a year, and sent it to friends all over. I haven't done that in a few years now though . . . its nice to do it again!

Checkersumthing, that's a great way to do it! I had an idea of a theme for mine a while back and have been gathering songs for it. But! I was listening to my iPod on shuffle this morning and all these songs came up that went together in another theme and now I can't decide! Maybe I'll just make two mixes. :)

Yay! Getting excited!

I bought cover stock today to print out my track listings on :) I've been meaning to buy more for awhile (I've run out of white), but never had the incentive . . . until now. So now I'm all set, I just need to burn and print and assemble!
