I made my veil today...I couldn't find blue ribbon edged veils anywhere, and didn't want to spend a fortune on a veil to boot!

What a pretty veil! I love that blue color. It's going to look gorgeous with your dress - I just refreshed my memory by looking at the photo of it again.
I printed another zine on Friday. It's shorter than usual, but I really like it. I wrote one mini-page about each pair of glasses I've worn in my life.
I made vanilla cupcakes from the basic recipe in Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World. I used Spectrum shortening and fancy vanilla extract in the frosting. It was to die for.

I made rolls using a slight variation of a recipe from a vintage cookbook.

This last picture is a bit late, but I just got around to uploading it. I made vegan truffles for my friends on Valentine's Day. I tried to arrange them nicely in the box to mimic a "real" box of chocolates. The different coatings pictured are: chocolate chips, almond meal, cinnamon and raw sugar, and coconut.

that veil is lovely - I love that particular style - and the cupcakes look sooo tasty.
I did a bit of jewelry work, but this time I made something for m'self - hurrah!
Here are some progress shots:
I found a (dead) butterfly a few years back and roll printed it's wings onto copper sheet. Cut out the wing from the copper sheet and cut a corresponding, larger wing out of sterling. A few rivets and a chrysoprase cab laaaater, this:
I LOVE wearing it. I put it on a really long chain, and it has a great weight. Plus it was fun to plan out a fairly indepth project with many steps. Work the brain a bit more than I usually do.
And, I worked on a blog post about crafting and being inspired (complete with photos of really awful old work - eeeek!) alll week. Finished it up literally a few minutes ago. I'm pretty proud of it! Here it is:

I did a photoshoot out in the woods on saturday. I'd never worked with the model before but she did a great job despite the freezing conditions!
I spent sunday running around getting film developed and post procssing the digital shots.
There's some more on my tumblr is anyone is interested :)

I'm really late this week, but I have things to share!
I made some new notebooks:
And a new bag
And because we had a lovely, summery weekend, I also made coconut icecream, using daircroi's recipe. It is incredibly yum!

gemma, your blog post inspired me to clean and pretty up my studio. Thanks for reminding me that I deserve a pleasant space to work in. _________________ "There will be a night sometime in the next week or two where I just put a podcast on and start gluing shit to myself. Nemesis, great idea for a veil! Congratulations, BTW!
Gemma, Thanks for sharing! Great advice, indeed.
Scaredsilly, Those cupcakes and truffles look delicious. And the zine idea is very clever.
Soniclove, your photos are AMAZING!
And IrmaVep, your ice cream, bag, and journals look lovely. Especially the ice cream :) _________________ Glitter is the answer.
