That would make me livid, the pay thing. For not even doing the job properly! Grr.

I have a little vent:
I am owed a tax rebate. This I know. But because I was a benefit claimant at the end of the tax year, I can't just call up and request one or fill in a form. It gets done automatically, in alphabetical order. They have not yet finished the C surnames. My last name begins with L. I guess it's going to be about July by the time I see my money back, at this rate. I need that money, which is mine, now.

Ugh, there was a major standoff/drama-fest at work between two coworkers yesterday (about installing phone/internet lines...seriously), that I ended up being the messenger/middle man in. It seriously sucked and absolutely ruined my whole day.

So this morning, everything was resolved and most people are back to being OK, except for one coworker who is being super rude and short with me, and throwing a pout parade ALL over the office. What is most annoying is she got exactly what she wanted in the first place.

Yay, professionalism! /sarcasm

I have to wait until Saturday to see The Avengers. Boo!

This is the pettiest of complaints.

The rudest thing that happened to me at the gym this week:

I was going into the gym about 10:30am. It was a school inservice day, so the kids were out. I was right behind a mom and her 3 kids. Her oldest son was about 10 or 11. He sees me and opens the door for me. I thought "what a nice young man!" As I'm going through the door, he says to me, giggling - "I CAN SEE YOUR FAT." I was shocked ! I just stood there with my mouth open. Mom gives him a dirty look and they just keep on walking.

My partner has been getting on my nerves SO MUCH this weekend (public holiday today). I'm actually quite amused to look out of the window and see that it's just started pouring with rain, because he's just gone out on foot to get food. If he'd gone when he originally said he would, he'd be back by now.

I just cannot say goodbye on the phone without sounding like it's the first time every time. Perpetually awkward. I'm going to dismiss it as charming, since there's not much else I can do about it.

MrC just started a new teaching term and I already hate how much he is away at night. Monday night he leaves early to play cards with friends so I tuck the kid in myself. Tuesday's he teaches until 11PM. Thursday he goes from teaching until 8, home for a quick visit and back out by 9 ish to play cards with friends. He often puts in extra late shifts or one weekend day a month. I am starting to resent his card games and the session just started, 10 weeks to go!

I dropped a bookcase on my big toe a few hours ago and it hurts so much! The part that makes me angry is that I HAVE HEALTH INSURANCE, and even so, I know the hospital would still charge me several hundred dollars if I went in. I can't afford that. I have a horrible sense of dread about getting sick or injured, because I know it could potentially cost me tons of money.

I've been taking it easy today, with a bag of frozen edamame on my foot. I hope it feels at least a little better by tomorrow. I don't think it's broken. I really really really hope it isn't broken.

I had errands to do today, but now I am effectively housebound even though it's my left foot. I drive a stick.

I am very glad that we're getting roof repairs done at work, but if this noise doesn't stop soon everyone on the second and third floors of this building is going to lose their minds.

I've been experiencing some sciatic nerve pain for about a week. Last week it wasn't bad at all, but it's been pretty intense since Monday. The past few mornings I've woken up a little stiff, but not in pain, so I was looking forward to those 10 or 15 pain-free minutes upon waking --- I was already hurting when I woke up today. GAH!

I miss running. (No running until pain is resolved.)

Actually, I miss SITTING without being uncomfortable :/

Event planning rant:

I suggested a bunch of things to the co-chair for a non-profit event. She only seems excited about them or interested in them now that someone else has suggested them. Or, she just never read my initial emails in the first place.

Working on my resume makes me anxious, and job hunting itself is completely demoralizing. I wish I could fast-forward through this. I know it will be okay and I'll find a job eventually, but this stinks.

Job-hunt vibes for you, scaredsi11y!

My leg is feeling better since I posted last week, but I went to PT and was told that my piriformis and IT band are tight due to a slight imbalance between my left and right sides. I can strengthen my left side to help things, but the therapist wasn't sure I can ever really balance out because of my stroke. She was impressed that I'm as strong as I am on that side, but thinks that side is probably always going to be out of balance.

And it's just not fair.
