| I thought I was being kind and helpful and then just got bullied on FB. Hate that I even posted. Makes me want to keep my mouth shut about my entire stupid neighborhood that I've loved so much and feel like just holing up and not interacting with the neighbors. Thankfully it is just one person (okay maybe 2) and one who is moving but still. hate that... and hate that i felt compelled to remove my posts entirely. I may be going on a FB hiatus, which is probably not a bad thing. |

This is how I'm rolling for the next three weeks:
I have tendonitis of the tendon that runs from the inside of the ankle to the arch. I'd been diagnosed with plantar fasciitis and that wasn't getting better, so I went to the podiatrist, which just makes me feel like an aging spinster and now here I am. This boot is not only ugly, it weighs a pound and a half and requires some knowledge of minor engineering to take on and off--which is especially obnoxious because it's my driving foot. And I'm on a steroid and ibuprofen regimen.
On the bright side, one of the male nurses at the podiatrist office (both doctors and both nurses are male) is a cute hunky guy who I'm pretty sure is straight. Unfortunately, I lazed out of shaving my legs this morning, but I do have to go back in three weeks. Also, frankly, I look forward to having people give me sympathy. But still. _________________ country cookin' makes you good lookin'

Plus, you have exceedingly snazzy green shoes!
Sympathy for the foot cast, definitely, but I had to remark 'cause that is a gorgeous color. |

People made the same comments many times on Facebook.

I bought the green initially and love them so much, I went back and bought the brown. I might eventually spring for the black. They're Danskos, so they're ridiculously comfortable!
ETA: I just noticed the natural color for the first time. Uh oh! _________________ country cookin' makes you good lookin'

These have a higher heel than regular danksos, and a little taller than the boot, but I have several pairs of those to choose from, too. _________________ country cookin' makes you good lookin'

My partner's sister is so annoying sometimes. She wants us to go to a thing for her birthday, but she's being all 'I'm way too cool to make proper firm plans' about it. I have another thing to do that day (already committed to it) so I need to know what time her thing is before I can say if I'm going or not! And she wants to know if I'm going but won't tell me when it is! Soooo childish. She does this kind of thing all the time. _________________ kittens are cute, but a full-grown cat can be cuter

It's all part of an evil plan.
The brilliant thing is that they're Danksos and they're comfy! _________________ country cookin' makes you good lookin'

I highly recommend FB hiatus! It has given me a lot of interesting clarity about habits, mindfulness, what kind of communication is worth my time, etc. I do think I'll go back in some capacity but wow, I am so glad I took a little break.
If you want something to push you over the edge, I found this book called Practice Being Human to be inspiring. _________________ <3 free range glitter pony <3

I have 6,000 vents today.
- I lost one of the diamond earrings that Ruggedchap got me for Valentine's day.
- I f'ing hate planning my wedding.
- I spilled oil air freshener on our lovely, lovely solid oak dining room table and now it needs to be stripped and refinished.
- I am going out of town tomorrow and am nowhere near packed and ready and in the morning I have to wrangle my toddler up until I leave so I have no idea how I'm going to get everything ready.
- my toddler was a holy terror today
- I had a terrible, terrible week as far as grieving my dad _________________ beefy and confused. |
