From my friend's son.
They (friend & her husband) were talking about looking at a new apt, both for a bigger place and to get a cat. Their boy (6 yr old) overheard them talk about husband looking at one Saturday and he busted out with "We're one step closer to getting a kitty!!"
ETA: One other one, this overheard at Target. A boy about 6 threw something at the camera screen at the dressing room. His mom got mad at him and as they were walking away he yelled out "Curse you, security camera!" _________________ Eh, f*ck it

I love the "umpirate"!
Looking out from a tall tourist attraction yesterday, the crowd was oohing and pointing at mountains and the bay. A little girl very enthusiastically said "You can see our car from here!" |

This is kinda gross...
The Crumblette is fighting a horrid virus right now and has been throwing up off and on for two days. A moment ago she started to gag but she had dry heaves. When she stopped she looked at me and said, "Mommy, I don't think that was supposed to happen."
Poor kid, I feel awful that she feels so bad but that did make me laugh a little. |

I was babysitting for a friend's 2 year old today, and, being 2, her pronunciation is always adorable but not always accurate. The one word she can say absolutely crystal clearly? 'Diarrhea.' Hilarious. _________________ http://brookemedlin.com/blog |

My 2 year old showed me a picture in one of her books; it was a mouse on a bicycle. She said "Look! It's a micycle! Ahahahaha!" _________________ She'll have her cake

Last night while laying in bed, Daphne's daddy passed gas. When that happened Daphne said,"DUDE!" and pulled her shirt up over her nose. _________________ My NEW blog:

My 8-year-old was reading the cereal box to his younger brother as they ate cereal together. He said, "Look! It has iron, calcium, and magnetism!"
While we were eating tacos with a friend and her 1-year-old last week, my 6-yo son was playing a game he borrowed from his teenage cousin on his Game boy. "Look, Dick Cheese is climbing the building! Mommy, Miguel named his character Dick Cheese! ...Mommy, what is Dick Cheese?"
My friend and I looked at each other trying to remain calm, but nearly spit tacos across the table as we laughed. My response? "Well, Dick is a short name for Richard, so maybe his real name's Richard Cheese." _________________ Glitter is the answer.

Owen has started bargaining...
O: Momma hold Owen for 2 minutes?
Me: Not right now, baby.
O: Please? Have something for you!
Me: What do you have for me?
O: *thinks for a second* ...a kiss!
Of course, I enthusiastically accept.
Then a little later, he runs up to me, kisses my knee and holds up his hands. "Hold Owen now!!" I think we skipped a step. *laughs* _________________ Flickr!

Adorbs! I work with cheese and the poop hits the fan if a kid walks by and we don't have cheese samples out...If Ell said that to me while I was working, I'd let him try every cheese in the place. _________________ There were doves everywhere, and they were crying their asses off. |

We're awesome parents and have taught Pete to act like a zombie. He stumbles around with his hands out saying in a "scary" voice "Eat brains" Pretty funny by its self really.
The other day Pete and I were at my mom's house for dinner. All he was eating was french fries and I wanted him to eat some pizza too (umm...yeah we're healthy people over here) He wouldn't do it so I tried to entice him by saying "Have a bite of pizza, it has brains on it, it's BRAIN PIZZA." He responded by picking up a french fry and shaking it at my while saying "This is BRAIN FRENCH FRY."
I laughed so hard I almost cried. _________________ If Christmas trees were people and people were Christmas trees, we'd all be chopped down, put up in the living room, and covered with tinsel, while the trees opened our presents. |
