After weeks and weeks of talking about it, and only posting teaser pics, I can finally post pictures of the finished quilt I've been working on for awhile now, for my cousin as a wedding shower gift. (yup, if you are fb friends with me, no doubt you've seen this, but I figure it's a good way to kickstart this week's picture sunday, so here we go!):

So what did everyone else make? I wanna see!

I finished this hat last week. The picture doesn't do the yarn justice.

it was a dumb plan to do floats. oh, it took sooo much longer.

today i painted some walls. i've been tearing up maps to do a brown paper wallpaper kind of thing for one of the walls in our house. i'm pretty excited; hopefully it works well.

and we finally got our finished wedding certificate! i need to get to the frame shop.

Wow, that quilt! What an accomplishment!

I also really love the hats, great colors and textures.

OMG. Beautiful stuff this week, the quilt (all of it, but also the perfectly bound round corners) and the soft toys (the shaping and seaming on the octopus are tiiight!) particularly slay me.

Hats! Creatures! Quilts!

This past week, I worked in wire for the first time in a long time.

A present for a friend's birthday. I wrapped the base in emerald-green ribbon before presentation, the better to not get caught in her hair. She wore it all night, including during hours spent in a bouncy house. Perfect.
