lady_stardust, I loooove your punctuation. As a linguistics nerd, seeing your tattoos totally made me think "Oooh, I should get some kind of IPA symbol tattooed on me." Ha. Your quotation marks especially are truly great.
PS, I'm glad you got to keep your appointment and finally get your tattoo done. It's really cute! |

thank you all for the sweet comments. i have to say i really like my tattoo, and it's become a part of me, i can't imagine myself without it!
(why in a next life, ginger? do it now while you can!)

Thanks everyone. I got the inspiration from a tattoo pic I found on Flickr. And then searched through my fabric stash for something floral that I would like forever. It's based on this piece of fabric:

I asked my artist to simplify it a little and I'm thrilled with what she came up with. |

You know I really like the idea of memorial tattoos, and I have the last piece of embroidery that my grandmother worked on. Unfinished, needle still in the fabric.
Your tattoo made me think that her last piece might make a really cool memorial tattoo.
