I just had a tattoo on my back redone...I originally got it 6 years ago, and from the beginning the color needed to get touched up. The artist I went to was really good, but for some reason he did not do a good job on this. The lines were short and weird, it looked really bad. Then over the years, stupid sun damage, blah blah, it ended up looking horrible.

Anyway! While my new artist couldn't do anything about the shape of some of the birds which was off, she made it a million times better.

Still swollen and gross...I'm just excited that I'm not horrified for people to see my back anymore.

I think you are my new favorite Glitterati! Or, favorite new Glitterati. Either way, that's an awesome tattoo.

froggy - That is so freaking awesome!

Much better than my idea of getting "Last Call" on my knuckles if I was still in the service industry for more than 20 years... Which I totally chickened out on!

Here's a semi-decent pic of my newest tattoo:

It's like a little banner that drapes down my arm. It drapes allll the way across almost to the outside edge of my shoulder blade, and ties with a bow on the other side. I love it! It creates a nice frame for a future tattoo on my shoulder. I get asked a lot if it's real, I think because it's so bright (my city sports a lot of one color tattoos), and because it's not a specific style (I drew it myself).

So much pretty!
littlespacebug, it's lovely!

I've re-viewed this entire thread. This is a dangerous thing because I've wanted a tattoo (a few different ones) for YEARS. I have a cape, half sleeves, and inside wrists thought out. I have exactly zero, but I'm guessing that since I still want the same designs several years later, I should go with it yeah?

scarymonster, slightly off topic but if you like Charlie Harper, you should check out Alex Steinweiss, who basically invented the graphic album cover. I got to see him speak about his work many years ago. Good Stuff. (I also love Charlie Harper's work, and have thought about some kind of tattoo of his work too)

I would also really love to get a tattoo of this poster (not the words, just the birds and bottles and glove) I was at the show because it was for one of my all time favorite bands, it's an homage to my hometown, and it's one of my favorite artists. I actually own one of his paintings. I'd have it done around an arm or leg. I would ask him permission first. I have a feeling he'd probably say no. (I would understand)

After six and a half hours of tattooing on my elbow (and another three redrawing/tranferring to get the placement perfect) I give you this crafty-inspired tattoo:
