I'm looking to make some nice, simple holiday decorations for my apartment. Any ideas for me? Google searches are hopeless for this sort of thing - too many fugly, tacky ideas!

Also, my boyfriend isn't totally down with Christmas, so I'm trying to make the decorations more "winter"-themed rather than strictly Christmassy. Like paper snowflakes from nice papers - things like that.

I like strings of popcorn and cranberries. And oranges with cloves stuck in them, hung with ribbon in doorways instead of the usual mistletoe. And a single candle in each window, real or electric.

In elementary school we made nut wreaths that were pretty cute and easy to make.

I strung pom-poms with thread to make pom-pom garlands, and wrapped them around my tiny tree.

& tissue paper snowflakes are always fun!

Oh, thank you! These are all great ideas! I'm going to work on decorating the apartment and I'll post some photos when I'm finished.

I picked up the cutest little tree for us!
