... And it's my first Sunday being 28!
A few projects on the go... Mini stopping points:
Stars! I don't know where they'll hang, yet.

Our living room is still in progress, but this wall is done!

The view from my office window is getting better and better, even though we're behind... We dug compost in today!

Yay! Projects!
I am always so impressed by socks. Pretty AND useful!
Puck, I'm glad you posted some of your on the go projects. The wall is looking even better than I imagined. It is inspiring me to start on my own map wall (very different technique/look though).
Here is what I've been working on:

2013.04.28 - testing out a new quilt by AmandaCecc, on Flickr
It's going to be whole quilt of plus signs (or crosses, or whatever you want to call them), in a rainbow of colours. It is for my hairdresser, who is having a baby this summer. The beige fabric arrived in the mail Friday, so I got to work cutting (the coloured fabric was all ready to go a week or so before), and sewed up one block to see how it worked out. _________________ i live at the foot of a mountain: some of my adventures |

puck, that wall is AMAZING. Also, tell us more about those stars!
Lady_Stardust, I am always super impressed by your prolific knitting skills.
checkersumthing, I think that motif in lots of different colors will look wonderful!
I started a new/old zine this weekend, but nothing to show on that thus far. I did spend a lot of time playing around with different illustration/geometry stuff on Saturday, and I'm happy with how this one turned out:

I started learning leatherwork (as you might have seen in my other thread about where to find such things) and this is what I've done this far:

It is basically a leather mask covering the lower half of the face. Next on the list is finishing the foot bracelet with bells, and the goggles. For now. Leatherwork is so much fun!!! _________________ Oh gravity, thou art a heartless bitch |

neat stuff! i'm loving the variety everyone brings. ;)
i spent tons of money at the nursery today, so there is a rose in the middle of the garden, to be surrounded by vegetables. and a combination apple tree has been planted, as well as a hardy kiwi. grapes, blueberries, and the veggies will go in the ground hopefully-tomorrow.
the stars are just stars i found at a thrift shop (i gave her 96 cents for them, she insisted that they weren't worth that much and gave me the shelf paper i was eyeing too)... i'm using one of my great-grandmother's super-miniature crochet hooks (maybe it's a tatting needle?) to thread them onto thread. originally i got them to glue on to a medicine cabinet i painted night-sky-blue, but i decided to use non-holey stars for that.
checkersumthing, now i'm intrigued! my favorite thing about my map wall, which i may have already said: 1) free (maps + wheatpaste, and 2) speedy (probably 5 hours, tops). i was afraid it would be too busy, but as an accent wall it works (especially in our 70s era dark wood nautical room). _________________ xoxpuck
