Moderator Guidelines

1. Trolls are the main reason there are multiple mods on the La VIda Crafty board. Mods must be made aware of trolls and seek to stop them. If the troll is personally attacking a mod, please allow other mods to remove that thread, if only to avoid confusion. Members should PM mods when they think a troll is on the boards.

2. For organizational purposes, appropriate threads can be moved by mods to the archive or other sections. This is done after a request by a poster. Any questions about if a thread should be moved can be refered to the board administrator (username Glitter).

3. If mods suspect that the Glitter mission statement is violated the UNCLE system will be used (please see How to Glitter). In addition, a PM to the offender is possible, a post on the thread is possible, as well as a madatory PM to the board administrator (username Glitter). Every attempt will be made to handle this situation diplomatically and in a timely manner. If the response is not satisfactory, the mods wait for board administrator (username Glitter) to come in and make a note on the thread saying ,"UNCLE. Glitter has been contacted." This lets the other posters know that the issue is not stagnant.

4. Drastic measures such as locking theads and deleting posts outside of a troll situation require the board administrator (username Glitter).

5. Mods do not ban or delete user accounts. The board administrator (username Glitter) does.

6. Mods do not police snark. To deal with snark please see How To Glitter.

7. Mods are meant to be on the boards as an extra set of eyes for the poor overworked board administrator (username Glitter). If users feel they have been treated unfairly in a situation that involved the mods (in their mod capacity) they should appeal to the board administrator (username Glitter).
