I finally have something to share! Socks for a friend. The top picture is closer to true color - she loves purple.

I redid the cuffs, and they still came out wonky. Hopefully she'll like them enough she won't notice.

Tinyrock, I love that sock pattern! Is it from Knitty or somewhere where it can be found online? That heel is spectacular! Were they very hard to make?

What a beautiful purple yarn! As you will see below, I like purple :)

This week I'm still plugging away at the quilt projects that can't be photographed (or at least the photographs cannot go online), but I did finish up the couple of tiny pouches I was working on.

tinyrock, the socks are gorgeous! The color works so well with the different patterns in the leg and heel!

checkersumthing, the fabric combinations in those pouches are lovely - I bet the quilt projects you can't show online are beautiful too.

I was in charge of the Pom Pom Bomb booth at ARTSPREE 2012; the kids had a great time! Totally worth the sciatica I had at the end of the day from hunching over tables for 6 hours.

Edited to add: I forgot about the bottle cozy I finished for a friend of mine:

I made bias tape, lots of triangels, and turned it into bunting. I also made some curtains.

The end result well... it is very colourful, and happy (which I wanted!) but there is something about it which makes me go "this looks like there was a childrens party here three days ago, blech" It might be a combination of the rather messy kitchen and the bunting, or else I just don't like bunting. It might be the spacing between them, or the haphazard hanging. Something just seems off. Any ideas?

Or else I might just have to get used to it, even though the first impression was lacking...

The process of making it was super fun though!

Looking at the last picture, I kind of like it actually!

Aww, thanks. The socks are Spring Fling from the Joy of Sox book. I did three rows of each color instead of 4+2. The stitch patterns are slipped stitch, not cabled, so they're pretty simple to work.

mk carroll, I love the detail on the bottom of the bottle cover! And teaching kids to yarnbomb sounds like fun, I should get to my new LYS and get involved in the community.

aliwa, the bunting looks so fun. Maybe hanging it against a blank wall would help it look a little more grown up if you're still not happy with it?

checkersumthing, those pouches look like the most useful thing ever. I'll have to figure out how to make them once I unpack everything.

Pictures count for Pic Sunday, right?

I finally used up a couple rolls of film in my cameras and got 'em developed. There were a couple of gems, most of them are not very noteworthy. Here are my favorites.

It all makes me smile!

This is a tiny embroidered necklace.
I think it is the first of many tiny embroidery projects to come.
It's a little bit smaller than a quarter:

These are shrinky dink earrings I made for my sister, using a sublime stitching pattern:

Anniebeegoode, I love the tiny embroidery! Such a great idea. I love the look of embroidery, but it's such a task for me to do; something small scale like may make me reconsider taking up embroidery again.

As an event, it was very successful - the booth was packed right from the start up to the end of the event, where we were yanking yarn off the tables and having to shoo people out of the booth. As a yarnbombing, it was a total and complete fail, because none of the kids were willing to part with their pom poms! We switched to tying the pom poms off with long strands of yarn so the kids could wear them as necklaces or bracelets, and on my way home I saw one of the kids with a pom pom tied to her ponytail.

Thanks. I am thrilled that I can finish a tiny project in 30 minutes. Plus there are tons of free patterns in the form of clip art thumbnails!

The children are the yarnbomb! Both in that they're publicly wearing the pom poms and that they got some inspiration for / practice in making things. Sounds like a success all around. :)

This is all so gorgeous and exciting, prompting me to post less-professional photos of my less-professional crafting that nonetheless excited me and the kids who came to my son's birthday party!

And if I can't figure out how to make these links work, then please see the first four pins on my Angry Birds Pinterest board:
