I went to the film festival alone, intending to come home at a reasonable hour and work and go to the gym. Instead, I had a super-fun night in the VIP area (with freeeeeee champagne) and then at a fun bar in the booze district. All because I ran into a friend and her rad sister-in-law. Oh, Planter's Punch, the stars crossed and so we were brought together. What a nice night! What a nice time to shun responsibility and talk about scifi books all night!

I am not drunk right now, but I have been enjoying the hell out of some booze lately. Three cheers for Friday night beers at home and restaurants with generous pours of wine by the glass.

I am housesitting for the 1%, which means I am drinking beer and watching It's Always Sunny with a tiny dog in my lap. I feel like Paris Hilton. My beer is named after dogs, too. Boom.

I took my friend (aka the one who's pen name rhymes with jiminy cricket) out for a super belated bday tipsy lunch today. I had to stubmle home. good god I have to pick Yoshi up in an hour.

I had happy hour at the Mexican restaurant where the margaritas are so strong that they warn you if they don't recognize you as a regular.

1 glass of wine and 2 grasshoppers left me happy but contented, and lucid.
The concubine with its 4 shots might have done it.
But! I am still lucid enough to edit the apostrophe out of its. Because that sort of possessive doesn't take the apostrophe.
Alcohol makes me intellectual. :-)
ETA MrVep just bought me a BIG glass of water. I guess that's a yes to the OP's Question... |

Probably? Today was my going away party, I have not had a proper meal all day, most of my calories have probably come from booze. I just postedthis on my facebook to express how overwhelmed I am by my friends being awesome.
Besides lots of hugging, there was also lots of picking bluegrass tracks to make manfriend listen to after everyone left because he has some like for folk music but not a ton of background.
I should probably go to bed? But I am too happy to sleep. But also tired. |

I am sober now.
The only problem with the other night is that I was in the stage of drunkeness in which I talk incessantly. Non-stop. And I was excited cause it was my birthday and then he was there and then I had this pile of gifts that people gave me that was overwhelming, and I just talktalktalktalked.
I recognize that I do it when I'm doing it and even remark on how much I talk and how random and rambly my stories are, but I don't ever actually stop myself.
It can be charming... One of my college friend's boyfriend's didn't like me the first few times he met me, until he was around me in one of these states. So, here's hoping this guy feels the same. I see him again in two weeks...
