i need to order new checks, but i don't want to spend $30 to order them from my bank. there are a ton of discount check ordering sites, but i'm not sure i want to send all of my banking info to some random site i found through google.

so....any recommendations? this places seems the cheapest. anyone use them? any other places that are good?

i seriously just want the plainest, cheapest checks. i mostly only use them to pay my shrink and my rent

I've never used that site. Most recently (like, a few years ago) I used Checks Unlimited ... and digging through my spam filter, I see right now you can get free shipping by using the code VHB8.

Before that, and for a long(-ish) time, I used Checks in the Mail, but I think I got bored with their designs, which is why I switched. I think they were less spammy, too, so I may go back.

And thanks for posting this, because I've got two new bank accounts that need checks, and I keep forgetting... so thanks for the reminder to get some!

I've also used the site Loosey recommended (only like, twice, because I don't use checks often). They were cheap and I didn't have any problems with them.

... but GEEZ the checks are cheap on the site theboy found ... I'm tempted to order from there. Has anybody had any bad experiences with them?

ETA: Their certifications at the bottom of the pages seem real. I'm going to order from them. Believe me, if there's trouble, I'll let you know!

i went ahead and ordered checks from the website i found. after shipping and tax, a box of the cheapest checks came to $7.40. i can handle that.

i let you all know if anything shady happens, but i think it'll all be ok.
