I'm Canadian, and I was definitely taught "pound" for #, especially in phone-related contexts.

My brother's wife's dad has sent me a friend request on Facebook. I chatted with him at my bro's wedding, but haven't seen him before or since. I think it might be that he's just joined, but I can't imagine why he'd have my email address so I don't know if it's an automated request based on some contacts list or not. It's ok for me to ignore that, right? Right?!?

What's the best way to post photos here? I need really basic instructions.

I want to start posting photos on a project that's been on my desk and I think I could use some advice.

It's easy as! :) I upload my photos to photobucket, but you can easily copy them from facebook or flickr or any other photo hosting site. Right-click on the picture and then click on the "Copy image URL" on the menu.
Next, mosey on over to g* and "paste" the image URL into the text box you are typing (i.e. where I'm typing my reply right now). Then, highlight the link and up the top, above the typing box where you can change the format of the text, add links, etc, there is an "Img" button - while your pic link is highlighted, click that and it will turn the link into an image.

Thanks kelly! I was embarrassed to ask that question because I am pretty tech savvy otherwise.

Is there anything I can do to get a really strong "fresh laundry" fabric softener smell out of a flannel baby quilt?

Try running it through the wash with an unscented detergent (or even washing it in the sink or tub if you don't want to waste a whole washing machine cycle) and then letting it dry in the sun, if you have sun, or at least air dry if you don't.

We've already washed it three times in unscented detergent, but it went in the dryer (with unscented dryer sheets). I was thinking about sunning it.. Outside seems like the best place for it, since it'll be away from giving us headaches! Thanks.

I wonder if you could soak it in something--like vinegar (or at least diluted vinegar)? Soak it, let it airdry and then wash it and air dry it again?

I can't get my FB pics to copy like this....it doesn't show up as 'copy image URL'...is there something else I should be checking for? I'm too lazy to upload things to photobucket when I've already uploaded it to FB!

Maybe 'copy image location'? That's what it seems to show up as for me.

Aha! I was using F.Fox and it wouldn't let me post pics, but then I loaded Sa Fa Ri and it worked! Yay, now I will spam everyone with 1.5 million pictures.

Is a serger also a sewing machine, or is it something you use in addition to a sewing machine?

A serger is used in addition to a sewing machine.

What is the smell of the Lush store....or Aved@? I love that smell and I don't know what the scent is.
