It's been sooooo long since I've made cinnamon rolls, and I'm feeling inspired!
The time involved in kneading the dough and waiting for it to rise twice is what discourages me from making sweet bread very often. I don't have a huge sweet tooth lately, so when a craving hits I'm typically looking for the instant gratification of cookies that will be done in 20 minutes. BUT, if I use my new bread machine, I probably won't have to spend much time at all. I think I know what I'll be up to tomorrow afternoon. _________________ "It came to betoken the nation's biking and adulation of automobiles!" |

i made a batch to bring to the pub with me this morning. my football team kicks off at 1:30 in london, which is 8:30 am here (it's 7:30m right now). it's pretty tough to roll out this early in the morning, so i figure anyone that can get out of their house and into the pub this early deserves a treat for breakfast, and what better timing for it than cinnamon roll day?!? _________________ To a detached person the complication of the involved life

Got all the ingredients yesterday, gonna make them shortly. They should be ready in time for an afternoon cup of coffee later. Thanks for the reminder, Teahugger! _________________ kittens are cute, but a full-grown cat can be cuter

| Figwit's post about pumpkin cinnamon rolls sounded so intriguing that I had to go googling for recipes. And now I'm going to get started on a dough... |

(Recipe from "The Garden of Vegan." I improvised a frosting using powdered sugar and vanilla soy creamer - it was tasty!) _________________ "It came to betoken the nation's biking and adulation of automobiles!" |

Everyove else's look yummier than mine. I think the lack of icing is doing it; I'm gonna fix 'em. _________________ kittens are cute, but a full-grown cat can be cuter

So delicious. I brought them into the office today, emailed my favorite coworkers about awesome Swedish holidays, and hey presto--no more cinnamon rolls! |

I made cinnamon buns on Sunday, too, for Kanelbullens Dag!
It took a lot longer than I thought, with all the waiting for rising. I made mine vegan and they were pretty good. Not good enough to share though, next time I'll make them better:

yay! Cinnamon Buns Day! I have my pearl sugar ready. I'm going to do the baking on Sunday though, because I have that day off work and as I recall from last year, it took a lot longer than I expected it too! |
