Does anyone know the best way to create a gradient effect (meaning heavy at one end and then gradually fades to nothing at the other) using glitter?

Do you want it to change colors? Is that what you mean by gradient? Because you could buy different shades of the same color from dark to light and gradually do a blend of them so that it gradients that way.

If you wanted the same tint the whole way through, then I imagine you would just put more of the glitter at one end and gradually lessen the amount as you went to the other side.

i think you could also get this effect with a color gradient under clear glitter.

To clarify, I was just wondering if anyone had any tips for making a smooth gradient with a single color of glitter, like it starts heavy on one end and ends with no glitter on the other end. My problem is that I can't get it even. It seems to clump or want to cover the entire area or get patchy. What is the best adhesive to use to do this?

Oh yeah, I forgot to add that part of the problem is probably due to the fact that I am trying to do this on a surface that has a bit of a texture.

Is there anyway you can mask part of the area, and with subsequent glitter passes have a greater area exposed. That way, the end that wasn't masked at all will have several passes of glitter land on it, and the end that was masked for the most passes will have little.

Dur, why didn't I think of that? Thanks for the jog to the noggin IrmaVep. That is exactly what I did, and it worked out pretty well I must say.
