Posted: Apr 16, 2004 12:15 pm Post subject: Magazine assignment- NEED YOUR HELP |
|
|
I'm in college and I'm taking this Publication Design class. For my final project I was to make up a magazine layout of anything I want. I want to make a magazine that reflects the younger, more vibrant generation of crafters. This publication has to be 7 pages long, have differnt sections in it, the works, except for content. One page even has to have ads in it.
I need your help because I thought it would be kinda cool to get some of you girls buisnesses in there as my display ads, and I thought you could help me come up with the differnt sections I might want to include in the magazine.
Keep in mind that only my professor will see this BUT I do intend on having a porfolio and this more than likely will be in there.
I thought maybe something like Bust. Does anyone have their website so I can go browse for ideas?
Any help would be great girls! Oh if you are willing to volunteer your logo a little advertisement for the sake of my project please e-mail it to me as an attachment at:

I wanted to name it "Switchboard" and take it from the other board you might be familiar with. Do you think that would be a problem? Only my professor is going to see it, so it's not for public use.

| it's a great idea- i've been planning to start my own magazine along similar lines to BUST, but UK based- let me know how it comes together for you. The things i'm most interested in are stuff like using reclaimed fabrics to make new things; the rebirth of 'traditional' womens crafts like knitting and sewing; and interiors...ooooh interiors...do you have a deadline for this and would you want something from the UK? If you are interested I can send you some images... |

I would ask the founders if they mind. But why not come up with something uniquely your own since it is a school project?! |
