I finished the first glove. Joining those fingers was a nightmare! This was my most un-relaxing knit ever. And to make it even worse, I don't know if I even want to make another one. It looks awful on my hand, all bumpy and misshapen. I used the recommended Rowan yarn too. Any tips or idea? |

Hmm... it looks a bit loose! When I made my glove, I did the child size but the woman's length (I have small hands).
I used Merino from Knit Picks, so don't know what to say about the yarn they recommended.
And I agree - joining the fingers WAS difficult! x_x _________________ mikan: a sweet fruit & mmm, so delicious. |

I'm making these! Mr. ag wanted a pair of fingerless gloves and these looked perfect. I'm making them in charcoal gray with cayenne-pepper-red stripes.
I'm almost to the cuff on the first one. Yeah, joining the fingers was tricky, but I got a kick out of it. :)
I'm using Cascade 220 for this. I know it's heavier than the recommended yarn, and no, I didn't swatch. I'm just using size 3 needles instead (a natural move, since I didn't have any size 4 dpns!) and it seems to be compensating for the heavier yarn. It's making a nice, thick fabric that should be very warm.
Perfect for biking in freezing cold California!! _________________ Well, at least I wasn't the one who puked on the floor. --greenbean |

Finished! At first I didn't wasn't going to put anything on the knuckles because I couldn't see myself committing to one phrase. Then I tried it on, noticed how it covered my ring and I thought.... ah but I can commit to something. This is my engagement ring. And these are my knucks:

I love the heart for where the ring is! so cute!
mmmfruit, how big around (like, side to side) did the child size come out? I was considering making these but I too have small (but long) hands. _________________ Imagine kate. Now imagine kate frolicking naked with a platypus.
