I'm glad I did a search here before buying - dangit! I really like those necklaces! I know that she's sold stuff through cut+paste before - anyone know if she's consigning anywhere? I'd feel much more secure about buying through a second party now that I've read this. _________________ "I hate that they're giving tea a bad name. Tea is a peaceful, gentle drink." - Teahugger |

| there has to be someone else to complain to - doesn't she have to pay someone somehow to have her website up? a host? (umm...i'm a little fuzzy on technology but...)? if they heard she was scamming people might they not cut her off? or the company that provides the zen cart program on her page? if they got a lot of complaints... it's worth a shot. nobody wants to be associated with scams. this whole situation makes me so indignant and i didn't even wanna buy anything from her! |

actually it depends on the site.. i have my work online in another shop and actually hold my merchandise for them. the customer buys through them, pays them, they pay me my cut and i'm responsible for mailing it out. _________________ My handmade jewelry

hmm. eva666, thanks for the heads-up - I know that cut+paste has the merch on hand, so if I do decide to buy a necklace, I'll be sure to do it through a site like that. _________________ "I hate that they're giving tea a bad name. Tea is a peaceful, gentle drink." - Teahugger |

| though if i were *her* i would have chewed out my boyfriend for flaking and not telling me, sent you the ORIGINAL necklace you ordered (why was that not an option if it had never been mailed??) along with a coupon for $ off of a future purchase for all the inconvenience. |
i thought maybe the boyfriend forgot to mail the package with the CUSTOMS form.. but re-reading it, i think perhaps maybe he just never mailed the package. i don't know why she didn't send out the original package then.. :x
i'm so sorry to hear this happened to you! i mailed a package internationally and received an e-mail a week later saying the package had not yet been received, but i told my customer that international shipping takes a bit longer, and even if the shipping is guaranteed within a week, that doesn't take into account customs... thankfully, she e-mailed me back saying she received the package.
i do hope things get sorted out and that you could at least get a refund for the amount you paid.. :x if you can't get the refund through paypal, contact your bank or credit card company and see if they can do anything about it. _________________ mikan: a sweet fruit & mmm, so delicious. |

UPDATE: On May 29, nine weeks after making payment, I received the necklace I paid for and another additional necklace to make up for this whole debacle.
I FINALLY received an email from the vendor last week apologizing. She said the package had been sent back and that she did not know why. She apologized for her lack of response and admitted that she had acted 'immature' - her words not mine. She said that she had sent off the package again and hoped that it would get there this time.
FINAL THOUGHTS: This is the first time that I have NOT been excited to receive a package in the mail. I really had to work to get this one. Of course the necklaces are just as described but after such a big delay (due to the seller's crappy customer service skills) I just wasn't excited. I really wouldn't have minded such a big shipping delay IF the seller had actually responded to my emails. To me no response meant that she was shady or didn't care.
Anyway ladies, I hope that you don't have to go through a similar experience. Thanks for your advice and support!! |

Yeah, I don't blame you for not being excited. I think I'd feel weird and bitter about even wearing those necklaces at all if I'd been put through such an ordeal just to get them (not saying you should, hopefully you don't! that's just the way I am). I know I don't plan on supporting her after hearing something like this, regardless of the fact that other people have had good experiences. And that also applies to supporting her by buying through the people who consign her. I'm sorry to hear you had such a bad time, but I'm glad it finally worked out for you in the end! _________________ Rockin' Chainmail Jewelry!

I hope this has been a good learning experience for her and that she's got a better sense of how to run the customer service and delivery portion of the business...especially 'cause I still want some of that jewelry! _________________ "I hate that they're giving tea a bad name. Hey Pinku!
Don't let this one slide just yet. She has "mailed" my packages 3 times now. I now see she's a scammer, and I highly doubt you will ever receive your necklace. I placed my order January 25th. It has been four months now, and I haven't seen a thing. Keep me posted on your shipment. :) In the meantime, I'm going to try hardest to get my money back. |

| OMG! I got my money back! I wrote to the local shops in my area about her, she heard from them, and I immediately received a refund. It's been what? 4 hours? I haven't heard from her in 3 weeks? She said she receives hundreds of emails a day, and just can't keep up with it all. Maybe she really is in over her head, but if she's that overwhelmed, and if her jewelry is that popular, wouldn't you think she would hire somebody to help her out? I honestly didn't expect a thing from her- with money or the jewelry. I halfway feel bad as I now think she is somewhat legit, but if she can't handle her website, etsy account, and craft shows, she needs help, or she needs to cut back on her workload. As consumers, this isn't fair for us. |

I didn't see this thread until today, but I just wanted to chime in-
yeah. I've defnitely heard some things about this particular seller before.
I think it really sucks.
And I've actually bought a brooch from her before- but it was at a craft show (about 3 years ago?)... I love her jewelry, but I will probably not buy from her again now. _________________ "there are only two seasons in western pa. theres just construction work and snowstorms and either way, they cause a delay" |
