Okay so I finally got around to making some! I had trouble getting the knot to be small, so I just used 3 strands instead of 5. With practice, the curly ends were pretty easy to make.
I used 24 gauge wire. I think they look better if you have more of a variety of shapes. The first one was kind of dull, and actually rather spindly-looking, heh. The second one looks a bit more interesting with a few bigger beads thrown in.
