One of my top 5 lifetime thrift scores occurred this weekend when I purchased an out-of-print book called "The Needlepoint Alphabet Book" by Meredith and Gary Gladstone. It's too good not to share.

I'm always trying to make friends with spiders. I figure if they are here, they are eating other bugs, and so if I kill spiders it's like increasing the population of all other creepy crawlies. Sometimes I do catch them and wrangle a local to do some spider identification. Still, I'm working on the friend thing. these beautiful ceramics help.

It's called Crafty Wonderland, and it's the brainchild of Portland Super Crafty. Beginning April 9th, Crafty Wonderland will take place on the second Sunday of each month. You can shop for amazing handmade lovelies, created by local crafters.
