As per Scott's earlier 'Reefer' post, here is more crochet coral genius/to do's from the folks at IFF and their worldwide collaborators.

Coral reefs across the world are in trouble. I recently read that the slight increase in ocean temperatures is cause massive bleaching- not quite adie off, but almost. Superhero Helle Jorgensen has been organizing crochet troops to make crochet coral creatures. The whole thing debuts in New York on April 7th in 2 locations. It will be beautiful. Thanks Daniel.

Craft and social networking site Indie Public is up for sale. Current owner, Scion, sent out an email yesterday notifying users of the current for-sale status. Real life obligations got in the way, as they tend to, and so for a cool $18,500 own a little slice of internet pie.
Inspiring headgear for the season.
I was passed a link to this discussion thread via Sabrina Gschwandtner who received it from Andrew Wagner. I highly recommend anyone who has interest, investment or pride about what we call "indie craft" to take a gander and give your two cents. And I second the suggestion of Annie who wrote the initial blog post who states "you might want to brew a cup of coffee before you sit down for this one . . ."
If you are in Atlanta make your way to Get This Gallery! for the opening of Bill Daniel's Sunset Scavenger opening March 28 2008 - April 19 2008. Check out his large-scale black and white photographs of two contrasting scenes: the floating hippie houseboats of Marin and the wrecked landscapes of New Orleans.
