I'm LOVING what designers are currently doing with seemingly uninspiring second-hand finds - particularly these glammed-up grannie plates by Viennesse designers Barbara Ambrosz and Karin Stiglmair from Lucy D.
There's no way I'd have looked twice at these patterned junk shop plates, but now, in their full re-vamped gold edged glory? Scrumptious!

Renegade Brooklyn was great and GIANT. My visit was rained out, but not before I got to see the work of my new craft crush, WandaBeast. That's right, each item is hand drawn with marker. They are beautiful and haunting, and could not be more exclusive.

I got an email the other day from a long-ago and faraway friend, Makoto Oozu from Japan. Makoto-kun makes really wonderful works in cross-stitch, from simple little motifs to cruelty-free entymologial displays. I also quite like the nipple cap.The Mint House
